#  Evandale Rd level crossing - temporary closure 

As part of ongoing efforts to improve the safety and reliability of the Tasmanian Rail Network, TasRail, in partnership with Gradco Pty Ltd, will undertake essential infrastructure upgrades on the Western Line rail crossing at Evandale Road Western Junction.

  To safely carry out these works, a **temporary closure of the level crossing** will be required.

# **Expected crossing closure time:**  
  

# **9pm Saturday, 9 May – 1am Sunday, 10 May 2026**

**As part of the approved traffic management plan for this work, road traffic will be diverted** via **Perth Main Rd and Leighlands Rd. (pictured)** Please allow an extra 15 minutes for your journey.

TasRail is committed to ensuring the safety of its employees, contractors, and the public. During the closure road users should be particularly vigilant regarding traffic and equipment movement in the area and always obey traffic management signage and directions at and around the site.
