#  Taking the strain out of winter 

In response to concerns raised about the increased risk of muscle strains during cold weather, TasRail’s Health and Safety Representative (HSR) Committee is encouraging action – quite literally!

  As a proactive measure a warm-up video, featuring frontline staff demonstrating simple stretches, was filmed on site at TasRail’s East Tamar depot. These stretches are designed to be done before work and at home, helping to prevent musculoskeletal injuries and promote overall physical wellbeing.

“This initiative highlights the importance of early intervention and staff-led safety solutions in creating a safer work environment, TasRail’s Risk and Compliance lead Corrie Summers said.

“A big thank you to those involved in the production of this video, which will serve current and future employees for years to come.”

The video will be made available to staff in the near future via TasRail’s internal Intranet portal.
