#  TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BOYER ROAD LEVEL CROSSING 

With funding support from the Australian Government and the Tasmanian Government, TasRail is working to improve the safety and reliability of the Tasmanian Railway Network.

With funding support from the Australian Government and the Tasmanian Government, TasRail is working to improve the safety and reliability of the Tasmanian Railway Network.

Infrastructure works at the Boyer Road level crossing will commence shortly and will include track works and the installation of a concrete slab to the road/rail level crossing.

This essential work will involve some night operations and will require the temporary closure of the level crossing between Old Main Road and Wallace Street.

Motorists are advised that an approved detour and traffic management will be in place during this time (pictured) and extra time should be factored into planned activities.

Expected hours of operation are from midday on Friday 5 May until 7pm Sunday 7 May 2023.

A telephone hotline has been established for community questions or enquiries by telephoning mobile 0409 705 127. Please note charges apply and calls to this hotline outside of business hours will be recorded and attended to the next working day.
