Transport of oversize loads

This week (23-26 May) please be aware of oversized truck movements from Western Junction near Launceston to the Port of Burnie. TasRail’s contractors are preparing for the next phase of commissioning of our new Shiploader.

These deliveries will include fabricated modules for wharf gallery units and Shiploader body components. They will be transported along approved routes and escorted by transport inspectors.

There won’t be any road closures, but there may be some small traffic interruptions. Estimated travel time is between 7am and 10am.

Please slow down if you see a Transport Inspector or pilot vehicle and obey all instructions given.
