In a fusion of industry and art, TasRail has partnered with local contemporary abstract artist Sam Dobransky to transform the sides of wagons into moving murals that celebrate Tasmania’s natural beauty and creative spirit. TasRail's Christmas Train returns to spread holiday cheer in 2024

The much-loved Christmas Train is gearing up for another magical journey this festive season, returning to the tracks on Sunday, 1 December 2024 and TasRail has already hit the "go live" button on its train tracker website for 2024, ensuring that everyone can track the locomotives as they light up the State.

TasRail donation to help build a bridge

When Wings Wildlife Park contacted TasRail post-October 2022 floods on the off chance it might be able to assist in the site’s rebuild process, the answer was a resounding yes. “We were just coming through the aftermath of the floods ourselves, so we were all too aware of the impact of the event,” TasRail CEO Steven Dietrich said.
